We are delighted to share this exciting opportunity to work as a Senior Administrator, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer with the Ernest Cook Trust, based in a beautiful office in rural Fairford.
The Ernest Cook Trust is one of the UK’s leading outdoor learning charities. Rooted in the conservation and management of the countryside, the Trust actively encourages children and young people to learn from the land through hands-on outdoor learning opportunities on its estates and by offering grants.
The Trust was founded by the philanthropist Ernest Cook in 1952 and each year, as a result of his foresight and passion for the countryside and the arts, the current Trustees are able to distribute up to £2m in educational grants to benefit children and young people.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PA or EA to join a wonderful charitable organisation, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high quality support for key meetings; ensuring agendas are prepared, papers and minutes are collated and distributed.
- Assisting in the preparation of risk management reports to be delivered to Trustees.
- Play a key supporting role in the recruitment process: Coordinating applications, arranging interviews and corresponding with applicants, whilst complying to GDPR.
- Liaising with recruitment agencies to hire temporary staff.
- Develop and distribute onboarding information for onward use and filing.
- Utilising the online portal (Breathe HR) to ensure accurate records are kept and updated.
- Owning the generic email box; checking and responding to emails promptly.
- Supporting internal communications e.g celebrations and staff briefings.
To be considered for the Senior Administrator role you must have:
- Previous experience at a senior administrative role; PA, Office Administrator etc.
- Excellent organisation skills, capable of working to deadlines.
- Experience of utilising HR databases; with understanding of employment law.
- Previous experience working in a HR department would be desirable.
- Capable of working within a rapidly growing organisation.
