We are looking to recruit a Product Compliance Manager to work for a leading West Oxfordshire based client. With over 10,000 retail products available to consumers, this role is pivotal in managing all aspects of Product Compliance. With prime focus on product safely and compliance with product legislation, standards and added value approvals.
Most products are designed in-house then sourced from factories throughout the world, then sold in the UK and via distribution channels internationally.
The responsibilities of the Product Compliance Manager, will range from the following:
- Identify which regulations or legislations are applicable to products, and ensure all products brought into the supply chain are legal and comply with all regulatory requirement
- Set up the procedures for checking that those standards are met (if necessary, devise and apply tests) and ensure compliance before and after production.
- Check certification received to ensure it meets requirements and that any standards applied are in date and are applicable to the product in question
- Monitor and report on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and waste packaging to the relevant authorities
To be considered for the role of Product Category Buyer, you must have the following skills and experience:
- Be highly organised with an excellent eye for detail
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Have experience of dealing with different levels of technical product engineering and the development of technical files
- Operate well both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Offer expertise in the following areas: CE & GPSD General product safety directive, REACH & RoHS standards, risk assessments, added value product approvals
- Flexibility to travel regionally and internationally
