We have a great opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join a busy finance team on a temporary basis, with strong potential to become permanent.
You’ll play a critical role in keeping supplier payments on track and bringing structure to a changing transactional environment. You’ll be the go-to person for purchase ledger activity, so if you enjoy taking ownership and making an impact fast, this could be a great option.
This role is based in Swindon and offers hybrid working with around two office days per week. The contract is expected to run for up to two months initially, paying a competitive rate of £15 - £16 per hour plus holiday pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase ledger invoices, matching to POs and ensuring accurate coding and entry
- Manage payment runs including BACS and international payments, and support reconciliations
- Maintain supplier accounts, update details, and ensure timely query resolution
- Oversee allocation of direct debit and charge card payments to supplier accounts
- Conduct monthly reconciliations and support month-end/year-end closure of ledgers
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in systems and processes, including staff guidance and training
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in purchase ledger processing and transactional finance
- Confident working independently and delivering at pace with accuracy
- Comfortable entering a changing, loosely structured finance environment
- Working knowledge of accounting systems; NetSuite experience desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a steady, practical approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience improving purchase ledger workflows is advantageous
