A truly unique opportunity to join a well-established business in the pet care sector who are looking to launch a new premium food brand to launch to their loyal UK customer base. Although previous experience of developing pet food would be a clear advantage, prior experience in Food/FMCG (especially Private Label) would be welcomed too.
As a Product Manager, you will be:
- Developing and designing a new range of standalone British products to launch to the UK pet food market.
- Establishing which audience within the UK market is relevant to be targeted.
- Developing strategy for improving the customer journey through identifying touchpoints and conversions.
- Developing competitive marketing plans for existing and new private labels and ensuring their implementation.
- Leading strategic and operational project management with sales responsibility for the respective private labels.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction through e-Commerce shelf maintenance and optimisation. Taking the lead on online merchandising and advertising.
- Collaborating closely with the Group Product Manager in the development of private label brand strategy.
Alongside these responsibilities, the role is focussing on combining first-class brand and project management with passion for pets, products, and brands to successfully address customer needs and commercial requirements by producing a premium product.
What we are looking for in a Product Manager:
- Significant experience in product management in FMCG, retail or pet food.
- Previous experience developing a food brand or product.
- Experience/understanding of the current UK pet food market.
- Experience managing external agencies.
- Candidates with a hands-on approach who can be flexible and adaptable.
- Experience with developing brands and private labels.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
