Join a team dedicated to providing a friendly and effective family law service. Covering clients spanning the southwest and throughout the UK, your role as Legal Secretary will provide an essential support role to Partners, fee earnings and other legal professionals.
A day in the life of a legal secretary role will include:
- Taking phone calls from clients, transferring correctly, and taking messages when required
- Dictating audio files and written notes
- Collecting and delivering important documents
- Manging the diaries, telephone calls and emails of lawyers including in their absence
- Preparing client correspondence through audio typing and word processing, organising, and tracking their case files, and recording attendance notes in meetings
- Checking legal forms and proof-reading documents for accuracy
- Indexing and updating pleadings and discovery binders
We would love to hear form you if you have the following:
- Legal Secretarial experience, preferably but not essentially in family law
- A familiarity and confidence with legal terminology and documentation
- Strong audio typing skills
- Good IT skills with working knowledge of all MS applications
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- The ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines
