We are working exclusively with The Royal International Air Tattoo to recruit an IT Project Support Manager to help oversee this prestigious event, run annually from the Cotswold village of Fairford.
This iconic airshow is a standout event in aviation and you will be responsible for project managing a team of 40+ volunteers to help get everything up and running and ensure the event is a success.
With an extensive understanding of Networking and Server Infrastructure, you will bring this experience to help manage the volunteers whilst working to improve efficiencies and ensuring the best tech provision for the event.
On a daily basis, you will also be providing IT Technical Support to the team, supporting around 30 -40 staff and providing onsite technical support.
At is peak, during May – June there are up to 1700 employees and thousands of customers on site so you will be expected to help be on-call throughout this period.
Key responsibilities – As IT project manager, you will be:
- Leading and managing the IT Volunteer team of 40+ individuals,
- Delivering large scale change and adapting processes
- Responsible for handling the Comms & IT departmental budget.
- Handling day to day database administration.
- You will be the key figure responsible for plan improvement, physical and technological infrastructure, developing processes and product while maintaining communication within your dynamic team. You will be consulted and accountable for all of these sub-departments.
General IT Support Specialist including:
- Provide timely and professional IT support to users in-person, by phone or remotely
- Create, update and maintain documentation for all end-user and business office related technologies
- Perform various support functions for local and remote users and locations and maintain detailed service/maintenance records using ticketing and inventory systems
- Set up, monitor and support technologies including laptops, printers, and Audio/Visual (A/V) equipment
- Install and repair various types of wiring such as Ethernet, coaxial, audio and telephone
- Assist in the research and procurement of technology assets
- Alternate between working individually and collaborating on IT-related projects with others in the department or organisation
- Maintain knowledge of company security and technology policies and monitor and promote compliance
- Maintain parts and supplies inventory for printers, desktop computers and laptops, headsets, etc.
