Alexander Swan, an established and independent insurance brokerage known for delivering tailored insurance solutions with a strong emphasis on personal service, is seeking an organised and proactive Insurance and Finance Support Assistant to join their friendly team. With a reputation built on long-term client relationships, expert advice and a responsive approach, Alexander Swan continues to provide trusted support to businesses and individuals alike.
This full-time, office-based role operates Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5:00pm, and offers a salary of £26,000 – £30,000 per annum depending on experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and detail-focused administrator who enjoys variety and thrives in a professional, fast-paced environment. The role is diverse, combining client servicing, policy administration, claims handling and finance support responsibilities. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the office, maintaining accurate records and supporting both the sales and finance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the sales team with client servicing and general administration.
• Processing client correspondence, including letters, emails and policy documentation.
• Issuing schedules of cover using insurer templates, including specialist schemes.
• Sending renewal invitations and processing accepted renewals within the client management system.
• Raising invoices, collecting card payments and arranging direct debit facilities.
• Assisting with mid-term policy adjustments and general policy administration.
• Reporting new claims to insurers and liaising between insurers and clients to obtain updates.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with bookkeeping and premium finance administration.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant client and financial records.
Skills & Experience:
• Previous administrative experience, ideally within insurance, financial services or professional services.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable handling financial information and payment processes.
• Proactive, reliable and able to manage workload effectively in a busy environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
