Charity Director of Services
We’re proud to be working with a leading Swindon based Charity, seeking a Director of Services to join them on a 12-month fixed term contract (maternity leave).
Playing a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable individuals, your leadership will be instrumental in overseeing and managing operations.

Offering up to £50,564 (FTE), this 12-month fixed term contract has flexibility to be full, or part time.
In the role of Director of Services, you’ll be responsible for:
- Working closely alongside the CEO to provide leadership and direction to 4 direct reports, across 4 major areas of the charity.
- Embedding safeguarding, quality assurance, and risk management into all processes and decision making.
- Fostering a positive and supportive working environment.
- Handling emotionally complex cases with the upmost integrity.
- Ensuring all services adhere to contracted guidelines and maximise impact for service users.
- Providing support to the CEO on safeguarding measures, operational efficiency and adhoc projects as required.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Proven experience in a senior management position.
- Experience and understanding of Charity sector is beneficial.
- Strategically minded, with the ability to adapt.
- Previous experience in service improvement strategies and quality assurance of services.
- Impeccable communication skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills.
The Role:
As Director of Services, you will report directly to the CEO, playing a crucial role in reviewing the organisational vision and values, embedding them throughout our client’s services.
You will manage 4 direct reports, all providing support to vulnerable individuals in Swindon, and beyond as required. Resilience, strategic thinking and adaptability will be at the core of your work, managing emotionally complex cases and making a positive difference every day.
Primarily based in the refuge in Swindon, this post is suitable for women only (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, pursuant to schedule 9, Part 1).
