Business Development Manager - Reading

Active-PCB Solutions, a well-established and fast-growing contract manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join its evolving commercial team. This is a high-impact, new business role focused on driving pipeline growth, converting leads into long-term customers and helping scale the company’s consultative, solution-led approach to sales.

Based in Reading, Berkshire, this full-time position offers a base salary of £48,000 per annum, plus 2% commission on all revenue generated and additional commission for each qualified lead. (OTE £130k) + Car allowance or company car.

You'll be on-site with the team several times a week, working closely with colleagues and clients to build strong commercial relationships and deliver results. The ideal candidate will be within comfortable driving distance of Reading and fully engaged in developing new business opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate, qualify, and manage leads through to successful deal closure
  • Convert inbound interest from marketing into long-term commercial opportunities
  • Deliver consistent sales aligned to personal and team targets
  • Maintain CRM records, ensuring full visibility of pipeline and progress
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations and leadership
  • Provide excellent customer experience through a value-led sales process

Skills & Experience:

  • Comfortable selling into technical and engineering-led environments
  • Intelligent, curious and a fast learner with a growth mindset
  • Consultative and structured sales approach, with exposure to methodologies such as Miller Heiman or Challenger
  • Experience with CRM tools and managing a full sales cycle
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with both prospects and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in the PCB or wider electronics manufacturing industry is highly advantageous
