Ready to swap late shifts and event chaos for a role where your people skills and hospitality instincts actually get to shine, nine to five?
Niche Recruitment is recruiting an Assistant Centre Manager for a thriving business centre in Chippenham, part of a well-established network supporting over 1,000 growing businesses across the UK and Ireland. If you've built your career in hospitality, events or front-of-house management, this could be the next move you've been looking for.
Think of it as running the floor, but for a business community. You'll be the face customers see every day, the person who keeps everything ticking, and the one who steps up and takes charge when the Centre Manager is out.
Why hospitality and events people thrive here
Everything you're already brilliant at translates directly: reading a room, managing multiple moving parts at once, staying calm when things go sideways, making people feel looked after, and coordinating suppliers and contractors without missing a beat. The skills that make you great in a hotel, venue or events role are exactly what this centre needs.
What you'll be doing
- Keeping the centre running smoothly day to day, from presentation standards to health and safety
- Coordinating contractors and suppliers so maintenance happens with zero disruption
- Being the go-to person for customers, building real relationships and understanding their businesses
- Bringing energy to the centre community through events, networking and engagement
- Supporting reception and the team to keep service standards consistently high
- Handling invoicing, purchase orders and basic financial admin
- Helping fill available workspace and spotting opportunities to grow occupancy
- Supporting marketing to raise the centre's profile locally
- Pulling together meetings, conferences and catering
- Stepping into the Centre Manager's shoes when they're away
What we're looking for
- A background in hospitality, events, front-of-house or venue management, or a similarly fast-paced customer-facing role
- Someone who's naturally organised and takes pride in getting things right
- A confident, warm communicator who builds trust quickly with customers, colleagues and suppliers
- Comfort juggling priorities and staying composed under pressure
- Some exposure to facilities, contractors, maintenance or compliance is a bonus, not a must
- A commercial instinct and the confidence to spot an opportunity
- Basic financial know-how, invoicing, purchase orders, that kind of thing
- A proactive attitude, you see what needs doing and you just do it
- Strong IT and admin skills with a sharp eye for detail
What's on offer
- Competitive salary + benefits, depending on experience
- Permanent, full-time role, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
- A genuinely varied, hands-on job where no two days look the same
- Real scope to grow into more responsibility
- The backing of an established, growing organisation
Sound like you?
You don't need a background in offices or property. You could be working right now as an Events Coordinator, Duty Manager, Hotel Front of House Manager, Venue Manager, Guest Services Manager or Operations Coordinator in hospitality or events, and everything you've learned there is exactly what this role needs.
If you love being the person who makes things run, makes people feel welcome and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks, we want to hear from you.
